Purchasing Assistant

Excellent temp to hire opportunity!

Responsibilities
• Track Order Confirmations/compare to ensure accuracy on price, quantity, part codes, dates
• Expedite/Track orders to ensure timely and 100% delivery of purchased items
• Run daily back order reports/maintain dates and quantities
• Maintain item data integrity
• Contact Suppliers and Maintain updated Supplier records including Certificate of Insurance/Origins, Contracts, Bar Codes, etc.
• Data Entry, including Price Changes, other projects as required, primarily in Microsoft Nav
• Liaise with warehouse staff and RMA Coordinator to ensure all products arrive in good condition

Requirements
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Expeditor or similar role
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures
• Hands-on experience with ERP software (ERP Baan/Microsoft Nav/SAP, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Excel/Word
• Excellent phone skills
• Meticulous organizational skills
• Team-Player
*Experience in construction tools/hardware industry highly desired
*Supply chain/distribution center understanding and experience

Hours Mon -Fri 8am-5pm
