Warehouse Shift Supervisor to work in our distribution facility located in Lancaster, PA. Reporting to the
Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to
day operations of the 2nd shift and supervising a team to coordinate all DC receiving, storage, picking, and
shipping activities in a manner that is consistent with company service and cost objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the daily operation of the 2nd shift with responsibility for inventory control, receiving, stocking,
replenishments, order filling, shipping and support of other warehouse related functions
Assist in the development of work procedures, preparing work schedules, and expediting work flow
Prepare, review, and analyze various reports on inventory, quality, and labor
Maintain the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the warehouse through enforcing company
standards, procedures, and legal regulations
Ensure that facility, racking, pallet jacks, and forklifts are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly
fashion by coordinating repairs with the appropriate parties
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 2 years of experience in a related warehouse supervisory position
Strong leadership skills, with the ability motivate, encourage, and supervise 5 to 10 employees in a teamoriented
environment
Strong planning, decision making, and problem-solving skills; resolving discrepancies with a high sense of
urgency
Understanding of and ability to be hands-on with all aspects of shipping and warehouse management
Excellent communication skills, with a high level of maturity and the capability to positively motivate team
members and resolve internal or external issues in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of responsibility, using reasonable
judgment to escalate problems appropriately
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Experience operating forklift and pallet jack equipment
Ability to lift and or move up to 75 pounds (using a team lift environment)
Working knowledge of computers and computer systems, including MS Office, with the ability to learn new
software
